The Township of South Hackensack is seeking to fill a temporary per diem role for Tax Collector and Payroll Administrator.
The candidate must be a certified Tax Collector and be familiar with Action Data Services payroll system. The Tax Collector duties include processing and posting tax & sewer payments, tax sale certificate redemptions, monthly cash receipt report, answering general tax property questions and correspondence. Prepare tax sale list, delinquent notices, publicly post tax sale and advertise, and conduct an Accelerated Tax Sale for December 18, 2025. Payroll duties include bi-weekly processing for 80 full-time and part-time employees, managing and approving daily regular time/overtime/double time through TimeTrak system for all departments, Voya 457 and Health Savings Account monthly contribution reporting. Processing retroactive salaries for 2025 salary ordinance upon adoption and new step contract increases. The timeframe needed will be approximately 4 months. This role will require working in the office during office hours for a minimum of 2-3 hours a day twice a week. ASSISTANT TO THE MUNICIPAL CLERK (Full-Time) BOROUGH OF MIDLAND PARK
Midland Park Borough is seeking a Full-time Assistant to Municipal Clerk. The preferred candidate shall have public sector experience, ideally in a Municipal Clerk’s office, or have substantial administrative expertise. A commitment to enroll in the Registered Municipal Clerk courses for Certification following the probationary period is required. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and strong customer service skills. Dependability, self-motivation, able to multitask efficiently, and maintain professionalism and confidentiality. Responsibilities include assisting with all statutory duties of the Clerk, which include, but are not limited to, the preparation of agendas and minutes, resolutions, ordinances, OPRA requests, records management, licensing/permits, election responsibilities, including extended hours on election days, Attendance at bi-monthly evening Council meetings is mandatory. The salary will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience, with a salary range of $50,000 - $65,000.
